Choices being made in our local cities are affecting our babies at home. Collateral Consequences of a Felony Convictions has resulted in 1.8 million incarcerated persons being parents to 4 million children and have a 30% chance of returning to incarceration after 5 years of being free.
Re-entering society has many unforeseen challenges as every individual family has its own unique needs and challenges.Financially, Physically, Emotionally and Spiritually these challenges are being supported by the work done at New Mind Health and Care.
New Mind Health and Care is a non-profit, multidisciplinary, life coaching, behavioral health, and social service program that currently offers life-altering, cognitive-based, action-oriented interventions to individuals with criminal histories. NMHC tm services provide potential recovery for these individuals and works to promote successful re-entry and reintegration into society.
The mission of New Mind Health and Care (NMHC) is to provide a personal and proactive service through the Reflight program to reduce the recidivism rate. The service works to ensure the successful re-entry, reintegration, and stabilization of formerly incarcerated persons back into their communities, and to provide the resources and links for all other transitional and environmental necessities such as housing, medical treatment, occupational resources, and vocational resources.
